Player Pool
The Monk Player Pool gives the players direct control of the casino's revenue in a fair, decentralized, and transparent manner.
The Player Pool is live @ onchain.monk.gg/pool
Core Mechanics
The Player Pool operates in two-week rounds. During the round, a portion of every onchain wager is sent to the Player Pool. The players can vote on where the total pool goes by submitting proposals and voting on them using "Player Tokens".
Player Tokens are earned through wagering at a rate of 1 Token per 1 $MONK wagered
At the end of the round, the proposal with the most votes receives the entire Player Pool fund, and a new round begins.
What can be submitted as a proposal?
Anything!
Proposals are just smart contracts deployed on the Base network that decide what to do with the funds that it receives.
NOTE: There is a 100 $MONK fee to submit a proposal; this fee goes back into the Player Pool
Proposal Launchpad
To make proposal creation accessible to all players, we've developed a straightforward proposal launchpad. The launchpad offers pre-built, customizable proposal templates that can be deployed with just a few clicks.
Each template features an ever-expanding set of configuration options, allowing players to create unique proposals tailored to their vision.
The launchpad can be accessed directly on the Player Pool page and offers the following deployable proposal templates:
Lottery - Create a lottery that anyone can join by staking $MONK
Race - Create a wager competition that rewards the top players
Token Burner - Burns any Monk it touches
Charity - Send the player pool to a specified charity address
Player Tokens
Player Tokens are the governing foundation of the Player Pool system. These tokens are earned exclusively through wagering onchain and are required for proposal voting.
The role and utility of Player Tokens will evolve alongside the expanding Monk ecosystem.
Donating to the Pool
Anyone can donate $MONK directly to the Player Pool via the donateToPlayerPool
function in the deployed MonkGameHub contract.
