Onchain Wagering
Monk's onchain casino allows players to wager on the blockchain directly from their crypto wallet. Players wallets are non-custodial, meaning that the casino never has access to the player's funds or wallets.
Monk's onchain casino games are immutable smart contracts deployed on the blockchain, giving players maximum confidence that their bets are secure and fair. The game contract code is always public and can always be verified by looking at our contract addresses.
A percentage of all bets made onchain will go to the Player Pool, giving players the ability to control the casino's revenue in a transparent and decentralized manner.
Each onchain wager will also reward players with "Player Tokens". Player Tokens are non-tradable tokens that are internal to the Monk ecosystem. As the Monk community and platform grow, the utility of Player Tokens will also expand. Currently, Player Tokens can be used to vote on Player Pool proposals.
1 $MONK wagered = 1 Player Token
Gifting Bets
Players can gift an onchain Monk bet to any ETH address/wallet. The generous player gifting the bet will be displayed as a "sponsor" for all to see.
Gifted players receive all Player Tokens associated with the bet and are exempt from VRF fees.
NOTE: You can block onchain gifted bets by going to your onchain profile settings
VRF Oracle
Monk uses Gelato's VRF oracle to generate the randomness that is used to calculate game results. This ensures that games are truly fair and cannot be tampered with by any external party.
Getting a Monk username
Players can link their ETH address to their Monk account to get a username by doing the following:
Sign-up @ monk.gg & create a username
Go to "Profile" > "Settings" > "Link Accounts"
Click "Link Onchain Account" to link your Monk account to your ETH wallet
Now, the player's Monk username will be displayed alongside the player's ETH address when playing onchain.
